In “Lost & Found: Berlin”, an Indian filmmaker, in Germany for an artist residency, investigates Berlin through the lens of objects that have been misplaced and accidentally discovered.

Lost & Found: Berlin brings to life material memory, candid conversations, and unexpected history lessons through a playful mixed-media collage in the format of a personal essay.

Though light in tone, the film becomes a ritual of remembrance through the process of collecting stories of objects, lost and found. These personal objects are an intimate entry point into the psyche of a place. They are fragments of a larger, collective portrait. The quiet presence of everyday objects transforms the mundane into the meaningful, and offers surprising insight into a city and its people.
